India Plans First Tokenized Bond Issuance for September

India is set to issue its first tokenized bond in September through the state-owned REC. The pilot project, valued at under $57 million, will utilize blockchain technology for issuance and settlement, with participation restricted to select investors using CBDC and electronic securities wallets.
