Japan Allocates Over $900 Million to Support Chip Startup Rapidus

The Japanese government will provide an additional 150 billion yen (approx. $944 million) to chip startup Rapidus. The state-backed venture aims to manufacture 2nm chips by 2027 to reduce reliance on TSMC and ensure technological independence in AI and quantum computing.
